York University was founded as a brand new Canadian post-secondary institution, starting off as a satellite campus for the University of Toronto. Six decades later, York has evolved into one of Canada’s leading educational institutions, with 2 (soon to be 3) Canadian campuses, as well as an eco-campus in Costa Rica. Being Canada’s second largest university in terms of student enrollments, York University offers a variety of programs and opportunities to its 52,000+ students.

York University is home to the Schulich School of Business, ranked #1 in Canada in 2016, as well as Osgoode Hall Law School, ranked in the top 5 in Canada in 2018. Notable alumni include Toronto Mayor John Tory, actress Rachel McAdams, former NDP party leader Jack Layton as well as YouTuber & comedian Lilly Singh.
